I am Moenau Rivera

I was born and raised in Tahiti...

I moved to California in 2007. I speak fluently French, English and Tahitian and i want to challenge myself to learn other languages of the South Pacific islands, like the Maori language. I grew up learning french, my first language and i learned Tahitian and English in high-school and started speaking these languages in my adult life. I have worked many years in the Tourism industry and have always been passionate about the islands of Polynesia. I always enjoyed traveling, languages and cultures of the South Pacific. I became obsessed learning the Reo Tahiti and the cultures of the South Pacific. Since I got married, I helped my husband and now my 2 daughters learn how to speak Tahitian like a native. I can say that I know first hand the struggles that you as an english speaker face when you learn Tahitian and how crucial it is to use the right strategies, mindset and have the right support.

I felt a burning desire in me...

In 2019, I felt a burning desire in me to share what I know and have learned about the REO TAHITI and also I wanted to share everything about TAHITI, my home, my culture, my childhood, my polynesian identity. I wanted to share this with others and create opportunities. This is when I took a leap of faith and created POLY-Lingual (POLY = Polynesia & LINGUAL = Languages). POLY-Lingual is built out of LOVE, PASSION and COMMITMENT. This is my gift to you! My teaching & coaching methods come from my own experience with my family and friends. I created courses and tools which have helped students make faster progress.

With all that experience under my belt...

I created 2 programs: POLY-Lingual premium courses and Your Roadmap to SPEAK & UNDERSTAND Tahitian.POLY-lingual premium courses are a group program for self-learners students and Your roadmap to speak & understand Tahitian is a private 1:1 student program. Both programs feature monthly live workshops in our private Facebook group with an awesome community of engaged learners. I had the privilege to work and get helped from several Reo Tahiti professors, translators, and linguists. They helped me tremendously during the creation of POLY-Lingual and I canʻt thank them enough for their support.
